Reservoir is an independent music company based in New York City and with offices in Los Angeles, Nashville, Toronto, London, and Abu Dhabi. It is the first female-founded and led publicly traded independent music company in the U.S. Founded as a family-owned music publisher in 2007, the company has grown to represent over 150,000 copyrights and 36,000 master recordings with titles dating as far back as 1900, and hundreds of #1 releases worldwide. Reservoir frequently holds a Top 10 U.S. Market Share according to Billboard’s Publishers Quarterly, was twice named Publisher of the Year by Music Business Worldwide’s The A&R Awards, and won Independent Publisher of the Year at both the 2020 and 2022 Music Week Awards.
Its publishing catalog includes historic pieces written and performed by greats like Joni Mitchell, Billy Strayhorn, Hoagy Carmichael, and John Denver; the contemporary-classic catalogs of Sheryl Crow and Alabama; and current award-winning hits performed by the likes of Lady Gaga, Camila Cabello, Bruno Mars, Cardi B and more. The company’s roster of active writers and producers includes the award-winning Ali Tamposi and Jamie Hartman, plus popular performing artists 2 Chainz, A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie, and Migos’ Offset.
Reservoir’s collection of film music includes rights to scores created by award-winning composer-producer Hans Zimmer, as heard in the motion pictures The Lion King, the Pirates of the Caribbean series, Gladiator, The Dark Knight Trilogy, and over 150 other titles.
The company also represents a multitude of recorded music through Chrysalis Records, Tommy Boy Music, and Philly Groove Records and manages artists through its ventures with Blue Raincoat Music and Big Life Management.

Reservoir frequently holds a Top 10 U.S. Market Share according to Billboard’s Publishers Quarterly.
In 2019 and 2017, the company was awarded Publisher of the Year at Music Business Worldwide’s The A&R Awards and earned nominations in 2018 and 2021, also.
Reservoir was named Music Week’s 2022 and 2020 Indie Publisher of the Year, also earning a nomination in 2021, as well as nominations for Publisher of the Year over three consecutive years: 2017, 2018, 2019.
Reservoir Founder and CEO Golnar Khosrowshahi was named to Billboard’s 2020 Power List, as well as named one of Billboard’s Top 100 Most Powerful Female Executives for 2017, 2018, and 2019. In 2021, she was named Billboard’s Executive of the Year.
In 2018, Reservoir title “This Is America” performed by Childish Gambino and co-written by Young Thug, earned the Grammy for Song of the Year and Record of the Year.

Amherst Records is an American independent music label, founded in 1957 by the late Leonard Silver. Amherst Records has a variety of releases including Spyro Gyra, Glenn Medeiros, Doc Severinsen and The Tonight Show Band, Jackie DeShannon, David LaFlamme, Solomon Burke, and more.

AVCO
In 1984, Amherst Records acquired all the master recordings of the AVCO Embassy/H & L Records labels including The Stylistics, Van McCoy, The Chambers Brothers and The Softones.

EASY STREET
Easy Street Records was launched in 1983 and had massive underground classic tracks by producers which read like a who's who of dance music; Paul Simpson, Jellybean, Blaze and Todd Terry to name a few and also had artists Hot Streak, De'Lacey and Adeva.

JAMDOWN
Founded 1997 by Othman Muhklis, who is also the owner of Abood Music, Jamdown is a dancehall/reggae label with artists and songs including Congo Natty, Busy Signal, Rico Rodriguez and “Coolie Dance”, a track by Cordel “Scatta” Burrell which has been sampled extensively.

PHILLY GROOVE
Philly Groove Records was a soul music label started by Stan Watson and Sam Bell in 1967, with noted producer Thom Bell doing A&R. The label's best-known artists The Delfonics and female group First Choice. Both acts enjoyed a run of hits during the late 1960s and early 1970s, especially on the R&B charts.
